Grissom Air Reserve Base partnered with LRP Recycling to responsibly remove and recycle 55 queen mattress sets as part of a facility upgrade. This initiative reflects the base’s ongoing commitment to environmental responsibility and resource conservation while maintaining high-quality accommodations for personnel and guests.
By recycling rather than discarding, Grissom Air Reserve Base continues to set an example for military facilities across the country that prioritize sustainable operations and waste reduction.
Environmental Impact:
11,990 pounds of material diverted from landfills
55,000 gallons of water conserved
330 days of household energy preserved
440 tanks of gas saved
Through this project, LRP Recycling is proud to support the U.S. military’s efforts to protect the environment and promote sustainability.
