La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Springfield Advances Sustainability with Mattress Recycling

La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Springfield MA partnered with LRP Recycling to responsibly remove and recycle 15 twin box springs, 10 full mattresses, 12 full box springs, 14 queen mattresses, 20 queen box springs, 1 king mattress, and 5 king box springs as part of a property improvement initiative.

By choosing certified recycling over landfill disposal, the hotel helped recover valuable materials including steel, foam, wood, and fabric while reducing its environmental footprint. This project reflects the property's commitment to sustainable hospitality and responsible facility management.

Whether a renovation involves hundreds of mattresses or a smaller property refresh, every recycling project contributes to conserving natural resources and keeping reusable materials in circulation.

Environmental Impact:

  • 7,441 pounds of material diverted from landfills

  • 77,000 gallons of water conserved

  • 462 days of household energy preserved

  • 616 tanks of gas saved

La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Springfield continues to demonstrate that every sustainability initiative makes a meaningful difference.
