Hampton Inn by Hilton Fairmont Strengthens Sustainability with Mattress Recycling

Hampton Inn by Hilton Fairmont partnered with LRP Recycling to responsibly remove and recycle 15 queen mattresses, 45 queen box springs, and 27 king mattress sets as part of a property upgrade. This initiative reflects the hotel’s commitment to sustainable hospitality while maintaining the high standards guests expect from the Hilton brand.

Through LRP Recycling’s commercial recycling process, materials such as steel, foam, and fabric were recovered and diverted from landfills, reducing environmental impact and supporting Hilton’s broader sustainability goals.


Environmental Impact:

  • 13,014 pounds of material diverted from landfills

  • 114,000 gallons of water conserved

  • 684 days of household energy preserved

  • 912 tanks of gas saved


Hampton Inn by Hilton Fairmont continues to show that operational improvements and environmental responsibility can go hand in hand.
