Grissom Air Reserve Base partnered with LRP Recycling to responsibly remove and recycle 27 queen mattress sets as part of its ongoing facility updates. This project reflects the base’s commitment to maintaining high standards for sustainability, operational efficiency, and responsible resource management.
By recycling rather than discarding, the base continues to reduce landfill waste and promote environmental stewardship across its operations.
Environmental Impact:
5,886 pounds of material diverted from landfills
27,000 gallons of water conserved
162 days of household energy preserved
