Fairchild Air Force Base Advances Sustainability with Mattress Recycling

Fairchild Air Force Base partnered with LRP Recycling to responsibly remove and recycle 100 mattresses, including 25 twin mattresses, 25 twin sets, and 50 queen sets. This project supported the base’s ongoing commitment to sustainability and efficient facility management.

Environmental Impact:

  • 12,000 pounds of material diverted from landfills

  • 100,000 gallons of water conserved

  • 600 days of household energy saved

  • 800 tanks of gas preserved

Projects like this contribute to greener operations and a cleaner environment for the service members who live and work on base.
