The City of Manassas, Virginia partnered with LRP Recycling to complete a municipal mattress recycling project that included 10 twin mattresses, 15 twin box springs, 20 full mattresses, 10 full box springs, 20 queen mattresses, 25 queen box springs, 15 king mattresses, and 17 king box springs.
This effort reflects the city’s ongoing commitment to sustainability and efficient waste management, ensuring discarded materials are diverted from landfills and processed responsibly.
Environmental Impact:
14,608 pounds of material diverted from landfills
132,000 gallons of water conserved
792 days of household energy preserved
1,056 tanks of gas saved
