Holliston Mattress Recycling, Electronic Waste & White Goods Disposal

LRP Recycling makes it easy for Holliston residents to responsibly recycle mattresses, electronics, and large household appliances (“white goods”). Whether you’re upgrading your bedroom set, replacing an old TV, or disposing of a refrigerator, we ensure your items are handled safely and kept out of landfills.

Mattress Recycling

We recycle all mattress sizes, including twins, fulls, queens, and kings. Our process breaks down each mattress and box spring into reusable materials like steel, foam, and fabric — conserving natural resources and reducing landfill waste.

Electronic Waste Recycling

We accept TVs, computers, monitors, and other electronics. These items can contain hazardous components like lead, mercury, and cadmium. We make sure they are processed through certified recycling channels so dangerous materials never enter the environment.

White Goods Recycling

White goods include large appliances such as refrigerators, freezers, stoves, washers, dryers, water heaters, and air conditioners. These often contain refrigerants (Freon), oils, or other hazardous chemicals. Refrigerants must be recovered by a certified technician before recycling. Older appliances may also contain PCBs, mercury, or other harmful substances. We ensure these materials are removed safely before recycling the remaining metals and components.

Why Choose LRP Recycling?

  • Full-service drop-off – Bring mattresses, electronics, and appliances to one location.

  • Eco-friendly disposal – Materials are processed responsibly and recycled whenever possible.

  • Safe handling of hazardous materials – Certified removal of refrigerants, oils, and chemicals.

Our Recycling Process

Arrival

Once your items arrive to one of our processing centers, everything is sorted. During this procedure we will look for reusable or donatable items. This rarely happens due to non-profits being very picky, but if there are any items we can donate we do that first. It helps others and is always the best way to achieve a 100% recycling rate.

Sort

Our ground crew will then separate things by hand with more precision. At this point, depending on the material, items will be either shredded or baled and then sent to our other vendors to be used in the manufacturing of new products.

Recycle

Mattresses and box springs are cut apart in order to collect all the raw materials: metal, wood, cotton, felt, polyurethane and fabric. These materials are then sent to other companies to give them a second life. An old mattress can be recycled into thermal isolation, which is used in cars, as well as mulch and carpet underlay, among other things.

Recycle More

Desks, Chairs, Tables, Dressers, Beds, Classroom Furnishings will be disassembled into the various material types. The metal would then be put into a metal pile to be bailed. wood inspected to see what kind of wood it is.
