DoubleTree by Hilton Columbia Advances Sustainability with Mattress Recycling

DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel & Conference Center Columbia partnered with LRP Recycling to complete a large-scale sustainability initiative involving the removal and recycling of 280 queen mattress sets and 97 king mattress sets.
This project reflects the hotel’s commitment to responsible hospitality and environmental stewardship while maintaining the comfort and quality expected from the Hilton brand.
By diverting reusable materials from landfills, this effort supports Hilton’s global sustainability goals and demonstrates how hotels can take measurable steps toward greener operations.
Environmental Impact:
72,386 pounds of material diverted from landfills
377,000 gallons of water conserved
2,262 days of household energy preserved
3,016 tanks of gas saved
