Campus Sustainability in Action – 232 Mattresses Recycled at a New York College

A college in New York recently took a meaningful step toward campus sustainability by partnering with LRP Recycling to remove and recycle 232 twin mattresses from their residence halls.
This project generated powerful environmental results:
12,616 pounds of material diverted from landfills
116,000 gallons of water conserved
696 days of energy saved
928 tanks of gas preserved
